Once again I’m joining the Witches & Witchcraft Reading Challenge – and you should too…. it’s fun what more can you ask than that?  *grin*

Now I freely admit that I am horrible at keeping track of my progress on Challenges.  But this one is so easy and your progress could be done in an end of the year wrap up post.  So, even though I often suck at keeping track – I’m going for it one again.

Here’s the link so you can check it out as well (clicking on the graphic will get you there too  )  –>  2017 Witches * Witchcraft Reading Challenge

Officially, I’m going for the lower level of Initiate =  1 to 5 books … I can always go up as the year moves along.

So, what are you waiting for?  Go check it out!  🙂

Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost’s daughter, Santa Claus’s niece, heir to the Winter Throne and now…private investigator. Sort of.

Needing someone he can trust, her father sends her undercover to Nocturne Falls to find out why employees at the Santa’s Workshop toy store are going missing.

Doing that requires getting to know the town, which leads to interesting encounters with a sexy vampire, an old flame, and an elevator that’s strictly off-limits. The more Jayne finds out, the more questions she has, but the answers lead her deeper into danger.

Will her magic save her? Or will she come up cold?

scorpius-risingIn case you missed this prequel novella to the Scorpius Syndrome series when it was in the anthology On The Hunt… or didn’t even know there was a prequel…

…here’s your chance to get the single copy e-book when it is available on November 29, 2016.

On my reviews for Mercury Striking and Shadow Falling I have highly recommended reading this series from the very beginning – which means the prequel for so much of what their world is now happens in that story of Scorpius Rising.

I’ve already reviewed it, but  I’ve just pre-ordered the single story for easier re-reading.  Yes, I do re-read many series, just because they were so good, and this is one of those.

If you haven’t yet read the prequel, I sincerely hope you get the chance to now.  It’s a compelling and frightening read… because, it could easily happen.

Cover Description:

Before the Scorpius Syndrome tore through North America and nearly wiped out the population, Vivienne Wellington was the FBI’s best profiler. The bacteria got her anyway. But she survived. She recovered. And when she woke up from a drug-nightmare of captivity, her skills as a hunter of men had gone from merely brilliant to full-on uncanny. Her mysterious rescuer wants her to put them to the test. But no matter how tempting he is, with his angel’s eyes and devil’s tongue, Vinnie knows she shouldn’t trust him.

If the FBI were still around they would rate Raze Shadow as one of the bad guys. His military training can’t wipe out his association with the Mercenaries, the most feared gang in a thousand miles. His loyalties are compromised. He won’t even tell Vinnie his real name. But there’s no FBI in the new America of fear and firepower, only instinct and risk.

And the way his arms wrap around Vinnie tells its own story. Whatever else Raze is concealing, he can’t hide his desire .
